Lakeview Academy Empowering Your Children for a Successful Future

About Lakeview Academy

Philosophy

At Lakeview Academy, we believe that every child is unique, valuable, and full of potential. Our philosophy is centered on providing a nurturing environment where children feel safe, respected, loved, and encouraged to grow. We understand that early childhood is an important stage in a child’s life, and we are committed to supporting each child’s development in a caring and meaningful way.

We believe that children grow best when their physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual needs are supported together. For this reason, our program focuses on the whole child, not only on academic learning. We strive to create an environment where children can develop confidence, independence, kindness, creativity, and a positive attitude toward learning.

At Lakeview Academy, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, use their imagination, and discover the world around them. Through classroom activities, guided play, creative projects, group interaction, and daily routines, children are given opportunities to learn important life skills in a natural and enjoyable way

We also believe that social development is an essential part of early learning. Children are guided to build friendships, express their feelings, listen to others, share, cooperate, and show respect. These experiences help them learn how to interact with others in a positive and caring way.

Our goal is to help each child feel secure and confident as they grow. We want every child to know that they are valued and capable. By providing encouragement, patience, structure, and love, Lakeview Academy helps children build a strong foundation for future learning and personal growth.

Lakeview Academy Mission

The mission of Lakeview Academy is to provide quality care, education, security, and love to every child who enters our center. We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all children are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, religion, gender, nationality, background, culture, or individual differences.

We believe that every child deserves to feel accepted, supported, and cared for. Our mission is to make Lakeview Academy a place where children feel a true sense of belonging. We want each child to feel comfortable learning, expressing themselves, building relationships, and developing at their own pace.

Our staff is dedicated to providing children with positive daily experiences that encourage growth in many areas of development. We work to support children academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and personally. Through age-appropriate activities and caring guidance, we help children develop important skills such as communication, problem-solving, responsibility, independence, cooperation, and respect for others.

Lakeview Academy is also committed to creating a safe and secure environment where parents can feel confident leaving their children in our care. We understand the trust families place in us, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our goal is to provide children with a warm, structured, and loving atmosphere that supports their well-being throughout the day.

Above all, our mission is to help every child feel loved, safe, and important. We want children to leave Lakeview Academy with confidence, self-esteem, curiosity, and a strong foundation that will help them continue to grow and succeed.

Services

At Lakeview Academy, we believe that a student’s success is strengthened through a strong partnership between home and school. In order for children to make meaningful academic, social, and emotional progress, families and educators must work together with open communication, trust, and shared goals.

Our teachers and staff are committed to keeping parents informed and involved in their child’s educational experience. Through parent-teacher communication, conferences, classroom updates, and school events, families have the opportunity to learn more about their child’s growth, progress, strengths, and areas that may need additional support.

During parent-teacher conferences, teachers and parents discuss each child’s academic development, classroom participation, social and emotional growth, behavior, and overall progress. These conversations allow families and teachers to work together to better understand each child’s needs and create strategies that can support learning both at school and at home.

Lakeview Academy also offers Open House opportunities where parents can learn more about what is happening in their child’s classroom. These events help families stay connected to the school environment, classroom routines, curriculum, activities, expectations, and daily learning experiences. We believe that when parents are informed and involved, children feel more supported and confident.

In addition to our academic program, Lakeview Academy is committed to supporting the overall well-being of our students. Our students have access to nutritious meal options, including breakfast and lunch, helping them stay energized, focused, and ready to learn throughout the school day.

We also welcome Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapists into our program to provide support for children who require these services. By allowing therapy services to take place within the school setting, students can receive additional support in a familiar and comfortable environment. This helps create consistency and allows families, teachers, and specialists to work together in the best interest of the child.

Lakeview Academy also values parent education and family support. Our center offers parent workshops focused on topics such as early childhood education, parenting skills, literacy, child development, and other helpful areas that support families at home and in everyday life. These workshops are designed to provide parents with useful information, practical strategies, and encouragement as they guide their children’s growth and development.

Safety is also an important part of our commitment to families. Emergency situations can happen unexpectedly, and knowing how to respond can make a meaningful difference. At Lakeview Academy, we offer First Aid and CPR training that can help families learn important skills related to injury prevention, emergency response, and basic safety practices.

At Lakeview Academy, our services are designed to support not only the student, but the entire family. Through strong communication, meal options, therapy support, parent workshops, safety training, and family involvement, we strive to create a caring and supportive school community where every child can grow, learn, and succeed.

Curriculum

At Lakeview Academy, we are committed to providing students with a high-quality education that supports both academic achievement and personal growth. Our private school program is designed to create a strong foundation for learning while helping students develop confidence, responsibility, discipline, respect, and a love for knowledge.

We believe that education should support the whole child. For this reason, our learning environment encourages academic development, character building, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and real-life connections. Students are guided to not only understand what they are learning, but also to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways as they grow.

Our teachers and administration are dedicated to providing a structured, caring, and supportive classroom experience. With qualified and experienced educators, students receive guidance that helps them stay engaged, motivated, and prepared for future academic success. We value individualized attention and work to recognize each student’s strengths, needs, learning style, and personal development.

Abeka Curriculum

For students in 1st grade through 8th grade, Lakeview Academy uses the Abeka curriculum for core academic instruction. Abeka is known for its strong structure, traditional teaching approach, and grade-level progression that helps students build important skills year after year.

Through Abeka, students receive instruction in key academic areas such as reading, writing, language arts, spelling, mathematics, science, history, and geography. The curriculum provides clear lessons, consistent practice, review, and reinforcement so that students can strengthen their understanding and continue progressing with confidence.

The Abeka curriculum supports intellectual growth by helping students build strong reading comprehension, writing, grammar, math, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Its structured approach encourages discipline, focus, responsibility, and strong study habits while preparing students for future academic challenges and achievement benchmarks.

At Lakeview Academy, we believe that a strong curriculum must be paired with caring teachers and a positive learning environment. Our teachers work closely with students to help them understand the material, participate in classroom activities, ask questions, and grow as independent learners.

Stanford Achievement Test (SAT 10)

Lakeview Academy also prepares students for the Stanford Achievement Test, also known as the SAT 10. This assessment helps measure student progress and academic achievement in important subject areas such as reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Through consistent instruction, classroom practice, review, and skill-building activities, our students are encouraged to strengthen their knowledge and develop the confidence needed for testing and future academic success. The SAT 10 gives teachers and families helpful insight into each student’s academic growth, strengths, and areas that may need additional support.

At Lakeview Academy, we view testing as one part of a child’s educational journey. Our goal is not only to prepare students for assessments, but also to help them become confident learners who can think critically, solve problems, and apply what they have learned in meaningful ways.

Academic Growth and Student Development

Lakeview Academy is focused on helping students develop the skills they need to succeed inside and outside the classroom. Our program encourages students to think critically, communicate clearly, work cooperatively, and take pride in their learning.

We understand that every child learns differently, which is why our teachers strive to provide support, encouragement, and guidance throughout the school year. Students are given opportunities to strengthen their academic abilities while also developing confidence, independence, responsibility, and positive study habits.

Our goal is to help each student reach their full potential by providing a balanced educational experience that includes strong academics, character development, personal responsibility, and a supportive school environment.

Technology in the Classroom

Lakeview Academy also values the use of technology as a tool to enhance learning. Interactive classroom technology, such as smart boards, helps make lessons more engaging, visual, and dynamic. These tools allow teachers to present information in creative ways, helping students better understand and connect with the material being taught.

By combining a strong curriculum, teacher guidance, and interactive learning tools, we work to create a classroom environment that keeps students involved, focused, and excited about learning.

Year-Round Enrichment Classes

At Lakeview Academy, we believe that a strong education goes beyond the core academic subjects. Our year-round enrichment classes are designed to support the growth of the whole child by giving students opportunities to develop physically, creatively, socially, culturally, and spiritually throughout the school year.

Physical Education at Lakeview Academy helps students develop healthy habits, coordination, teamwork, and physical confidence. Through age-appropriate movement activities, games, and exercises, students strengthen their motor skills while learning the importance of cooperation, discipline, sportsmanship, and staying active.

Our goal is to help students understand that physical activity is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Physical Education also gives students the opportunity to release energy, build confidence, and learn how to work positively with others.

Our Spanish enrichment class introduces students to the Spanish language and culture in a fun and engaging way. Through songs, stories, vocabulary practice, conversations, and interactive lessons, students begin building communication skills while gaining appreciation for another language and culture.

Spanish instruction helps students develop listening skills, memory, pronunciation, and cultural awareness. At Lakeview Academy, we believe early exposure to language learning helps students become more confident, curious, and globally minded learners.

Art class at Lakeview Academy encourages creativity, imagination, and self-expression. Students are introduced to different materials, techniques, colors, styles, and artistic concepts that allow them to explore their ideas in meaningful ways.

Through art, students develop fine motor skills, focus, patience, problem-solving, and confidence in their own creativity. Art also gives students the opportunity to learn about different artists, cultures, and forms of expression while creating projects they can be proud of.

Bible class supports the moral and spiritual development of our students through age-appropriate lessons, stories, and discussions. Students are encouraged to learn values such as kindness, honesty, gratitude, compassion, respect, forgiveness, and love for God, family, and others.

At Lakeview Academy, Bible class helps students reflect on positive character traits and make meaningful connections between faith, behavior, and everyday life. Our goal is to help students grow not only academically, but also in character and understanding.

These classes help students become more confident, creative, respectful, active, and thoughtful individuals. At Lakeview Academy, we are committed to providing a balanced education that supports each child’s development and prepares them for continued growth inside and outside the classroom.
